The Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials Association (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the www.saf-now.org website (the “Service”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices associated with your data.

Definitions

Personal Data: Data about a living individual or legal person identifiable from this data or from this and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession.

If you do not reside in Switzerland and choose to provide information to us, please note we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to Switzerland and process it there.

  • Access controls and multi-factor authentication for Data Controller employees

  • Secure connections for the transfer of Personal Data and Usage Data to the Data Processor or Service Provider

  • Recurring reviews by our Data Protection Officer

  • Recurring data protection training for Data Controller employees

No transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organisation or a country without adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

Disclosure for Law Enforcement: Under certain circumstances, we may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

  • Rectify any inaccurate Personal Data

You have the right to data portability for the information you provide to us. You can request to obtain a copy of your Personal Data in a commonly used electronic format.

Please note we will ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests.

Service Providers

We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service (“Service Providers”), provide the Service on our behalf, perform Service-related services, or assist us analyzing our Service usage.

These third-parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated to not disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Analytics: We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyse the use of our Service.

  • Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualise and personalise the ads of its own advertising network. Storage: We may use third-party Service Providers to store and manage Personal Data.

  • Salesforce is a Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) service which allows the storage and management of data for individuals, legal persons, and groups. Salesforce store the data collected to provide a database of information for our Service, reporting capabilities, and the ability to update or remove Personal Data when required. Our Service may contain links to other sites not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third-party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites or services.

Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 16 (“Child” or “Children”).

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 16. If you are a parent or guardian and aware your Child provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware we collected Personal Data from Children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Complaints

Should you have reason to believe the Data Controller, Data Processor, or a Service Provider did not comply with their privacy policy or the legal requirements with regards to your Personal Data or Usage Data, we suggest you contact them directly to discuss and resolve the issue.

If this course of action isn’t desirable or possible, you may file a complaint with a Data Protection Authority (DPA). The relevant DPA varies depending on the location of the Data Controller, Data Processor, or a Service Provider. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

We will let you know via email or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the effective date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
